October 2000

We called this the "Surf 'n Dreams".  A work of art created for the Ronald McDonalds Children's Charity Auction at the 2000 Hot Wheels Convention.  The design concept changed a few times along the way and we finally settled on the design below.  Instead of sending the body to be chrome-plated or machined polished, but it was gold-plated to achieve a unique "Spectraflame" look with a kandy paints over a 'gold plated' base.

Special features includes the "original surfboard" that was used as the pattern for the production 1/18th Merc' Woody's boards.  Plus an incredible hand-cut/ shaped wooden side panels and rear deck by Jerzman.  The total raised for the Ronald Charity, with the sales from the Convention Ronald Camaro's & other donations, were in excess of $140,000.  The "Surf 'n Dreams" was the highest piece sold at the auction.   We're proud of that!
